Description:
Soft Tissue Bodywork is like massage, only slower and deeper. Pain occurs
at a muscular level in the body where there is a clumping or a ‘knot’
of connective tissue (fascia or tendon). This can happen when the body
is put into a situation of tension, be that on a physical or emotional
level.
Soft Tissue Bodywork helps to ease the bound connective tissue in the
body by stretching and releasing pressure points, thereby giving the muscles
more room to move, allowing them to return to their fully relaxed position.
In addition, we encourage the client to explore their life tensions that
may be affecting their body condition.
It’s good for people with long term pain arising from falls, sporting
injuries and problems relating to postural imbalance. Our clients range
from oil rig workers with frozen shoulder, to ballet dancers needing more
extension, seniors having trouble sleeping to nurses with persistent back
pain.
